Hello my fellow bloggers. I’m in the middle of spring break, (teaching). This is my second year teaching and this was a much needed break. So while I rest and continue to grade papers, which never seem to stop, I decided to update the blog. There is so much going on in the economy right now that it is ridiculous. Gas prices, foreclosures, market volatility and so much more; which makes me wonder are we in a recession? I wish I knew the answer, but with so much volatility this may be the best time to purchase a home. Just remember, many of the lenders are tightening up regulations but it is probably a good thing. I read somewhere that the lending guidelines were comparable to the 90’s. I was too young to purchase a home back then but basically good credit and money down is a plus. Home prices in Douglas are relatively low and people could probably find a great deal here. Anyways, feel free to leave a response, maybe we can talk about teaching, or the economy or since this is a real estate website why not talk about real estate?
